American pottery of the 1940s often drew inspiration from nature. This matching pair from McCoy's "Blossom Time" line captures that spirit through raised dogwood blossoms and softly colored ceramic forms. Their sculptural presence reflects the era's decorative artistry.
Made in California, the original pieces feature a creamy glossy finish that highlights the dimensional flower pattern. Their rectangular profiles offer an alternative to traditional rounded vessels, while the coordinated pair creates a balanced presentation rooted in American art pottery. Together, they make a cohesive display.
One vase has a tiny chip on a flower. This flaw is disclosed as part of the set's condition. The raised blossoms and coordinated forms retain the character of this McCoy design, offering a glimpse of the natural themes that shaped mid-century ceramic decoration.
