Marine artist Robert Wyland captures the connection between dolphins and humanity in “Dolphin Love,” a dimensional sculpture from his Light in the Sea series. Created in 1993, the transparent acrylic composition uses sweeping forms and suspended imagery to create the impression of dolphins and figures moving through an underwater world.
Wyland is internationally recognized for marine-life artwork centered on whales, dolphins, and ocean conservation. This American-made sculpture translates those themes into three dimensions, using clear Lucite acrylic to manipulate light, depth and movement. Numbered 377 of only 950 produced, it is a scarce limited edition from the artist’s early 1990s work.
It is a beautiful statement piece and does show some age, surface scuffs, and wear, including a chipped edge along the curved section. Please review all photographs carefully for condition.
